My dad had one and loved that thing - he was on the road alot for the company he owned and it kept him company on those long drives. His handle was "Sidepocket" - from the fact that he was quite the pool hustler in his day!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10997257.post-36522825503416667432008-12-10T13:20:00.000-06:002008-12-10T13:20:00.000-06:00Lou - isn't there a limit as to how much photo mem...Lou - isn't there a limit as to how much photo memory you're allowed on blogger?? (I love that!!)

While defragging is a good idea (I do it weekly) I don't think a failure to defrag is the cause of a posting-pics-to-Blogger problem. You might want to ask Hughes when they call you back if they've recently imposed any limits on uploads, Lou. Key word being "recently," of course. I know Lin used to complain about her experiences with Hughes satellite internet before she moved, and she also had the occasional problem with photo uploads... now that I think about it.Buckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319116022465066060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10997257.post-88484101767808408262008-12-10T08:29:00.000-06:002008-12-10T08:29:00.000-06:00Lou...have you ever defragged your computer? It p...Lou...have you ever defragged your computer? It probably won't help your picture problem but it will increase your speed. Here is a brief explanation:

Whenever you delete something from your hard drive, a slot of memory is left behind. Over time, you will have many slots of memory left behind. Therefore, when your computer stores data on a computer, it stores starting at the beginning of the drive and stores it in the slot that has enough available memory to hold it. If the file is too large to fit in the slot, it will move on to another one until it finds a slot large enough. A point will come when you have enough room on the hard drive to store something, but there isn't a slot large enough to store it. Defragging reaarranges the files on the hard drive so that all files are consecutive - that is, their is no extra space left between the files. The result: all of your files are in a neat order with the extra space at the end and none inbetween files. This then frees up all of that unused space and increases the speed at which you can access data on your computer. Hope this helps...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
