It has a separate sheath for the thumb, but not for other fingers.

The croque-mitaine (hard to pronounce) is French for "mitten-biter" or "hand-cruncher" (not a literal translation of course). He is their Bogeyman (whoooo-oo). My mom said that mittens scared me when I was four. Her stories forced her to buy me the more expensive "gloves" (like Santa) Ho Ho Ho.

On a completely different topic, the first food I ate in Lorraine was a croque-madame. You can also get a croque-monsieur but it doesn't have a fried egg on top. When I was stationed in Ramstein, Germany one trooper was assigned to drive to Saarbrücken every morning (border with France) to get a big box of croque-mesdames for our flight-line breakfast. Basically a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, but cheeses in Europe are to die for. They don't pour on the salt like here in the colonies (not to mention, the Ham also tastes better). Gad, I'm hungry now...

Anyway, that's enough of my croque for one jour, tag, dia, er day....Okie Dokienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10997257.post-84106220069774380062015-02-09T21:05:19.260-06:002015-02-09T21:05:19.260-06:00Even better!Even better!CenTexTimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04026518638421849111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10997257.post-38678952389118724952015-02-09T06:41:17.316-06:002015-02-09T06:41:17.316-06:00When I teased the GGs about not laughing at my jok...When I teased the GGs about not laughing at my joke, GBN2 said, "Well, I smiled a little."
