We are having the weirdest weather. It was 47 Saturday morning when we went to town. Well, it was rather early. One of the young couples that Jesse runs with was having a baby. Jesse had gotten up at 1:30 AM to go to the hospital. I told her not to do it - that there was not a thang she could do. But she said she had promised to be there. And so she went. What are friends for? Toby and I got up at our usual crack of dawn time, had our coffee, and then went to town see how things were going with the baby. We got to the hospital about 7:30 AM (47 degrees outside), and the baby was born at 7:50 AM. Puhfect timing!Jesse was worn out and maybe a little freaked out, but hey, Toby and I were great. We had breakfast and went to GBN2's soccer game. Their little team, The Animals, finally scored. They did better at defending their goal, too. Once again, it was quite hilarious to watch, but maybe a bit more frustrating now that they are figuring out what to do, but not getting it done. Here is the whole team. We came home to work around the house. By Saturday afternoon, the temps were in the upper 80's. Quite a change from the 47.
Sunday was really warm and windy - so much so that we did very little around here other than watch football. What happened to fall? This morning was more of the same warm and windy. Then it turned overcast and rained. Now it is just steamy.
My tutoree and I went to craft thang put on by the Diva. The Diva taught us how to make cloth pumpkins. My poor little tutoree was horrified to have to join the old ladies in pumpkin makin', but it turned out pretty well. I had picked up some fat quarters fabric (whatever that means) at Wal-Mart for both me and my Tutoree. She made a dang nice pumpkin. Then she razzed me that mine was not so great - said it looked like a watermelon. I do have to admit that my pumpkin was not as cute as hers, but I kind of like the hippie/batik material. We all know that I am not Martha Stewart. I'm hoping the cloth pumpkin lasts longer than my real pumpkin did.

Which is EXACTLY the way I felt after SN3 was born (add in a great deal o' love, too), what with bein' up all night and other stuff. I wasn't allowed in the delivery room when the other boys were born, given they were born in a more enlightened age. ;-)
Nice punkin, that. You hippie, you.
Toby was in much the same condition after Bo was born. They made him wear a surgical mask - all I could see were his eyes - definitely worried.
I am a hippie - dang it.
I like it when the nurse says "you can come in now". I don't need to see physics to believe in it :-)
Believe it or not, there is good stuff going on in there.
Cute baby.
Neat soccer team!
Fantastic pumpkin! :)
Thanks, thanks, thanks.
