I wanted to make my painting look more like an illustration by outlining the car. I could not decide if I should outline Bess or if it would mess the whole thing up. What is your opinion?
I think outlining Lizzie would be too much. However, she does kind of fade in the background. What else could you do to her? Of course, this is an opinion from one who can only draw stick people.
I wonder if you could sort of darken the shading just a tad? Not outline, but just define it a little bit? It's delightful, btw! You caught her intent expression perfectly!
I don't know about outlining her, but she does seem to fade into the background. Is there any way you could lighten the background so as to make her stand out more?

Hmmm. Speaking as a supremely unqulified individual, I like it "as is." Outlining Bess would be a bit too much.
