Magpie

We kept GBN1 yesterday afternoon and last night. We went to the park and McDonalds. She pretended to sail a boat while we stood on the fishing dock at the park. Ranger went for a swim in the pond. Later we flew a kite and fed the horses - still she was not tired. She was a Magpie imitating everything she heard. She chatters non-stop. I told her to be careful not to step in horse poop. She said she would hop over it. Toby said, "Kind of like hop-scotch, but it's hop-poop." GBN1 said, "Hop-poop!?" Thanks, Toby. When it got dark, we came in and painted. It was a good evening. Then she got up at 5:30.

She is a fun girl. I like her painting, she seems to like lots of water also.

That is such a fun age for them to be! And they have so much energy. I used to wish I started the day with the energy Cody had left over.

Catherine, I think Kathy might show up here for Easter - should be fun.

Ashley is it a blond thing that they chatter and are so much fun?

Diva, she does use too much water.

Becky, I could still use Cody's left over energy.

You should know you are blond too. ;)

But I will give you one example if a brunette with tones of energy: Sarah Ann!

Sounds like an eventful time and fun. I like the Hop-poop, very original. Hope once the night quieted down, you could take a nice deep breath and some time for yourself...

I could use a lil bit of GBN1's excess energy over this way, please! ;-)

I agree with Catherine, as well... the best thing about grandkids is Mom and Dad (eventually) take 'em home. I remember my father telling me this just about 40 years ago... as The First Mrs. Pennington, SN1, and I were leaving his house.

ASW, there is something born in women that we do not sleep well with little ones nearby. I woke up all through the night making sure she was covered and still on her little bed.

Buck, you are right; one of the best things about grandchildren is knowing you can take a big dog nap after they go home. I will bottle up some energy and send it your way.
