My Day

My weight has been up. It is always up, but more so since Christmas. I find that I can move the scales around on the ceramic tile of the bathroom floor and lose up to three pounds. Since three pounds is not enough, I guess I am going to have to stick to a diet. Cuss words come to mind at this point, but I won’t go there.

I’m listening to a little Dan Fogelberg on Pandora this morning, and I am about to get out the paints. Might as well enjoy myself while I wait on the computer guy to come by. Maybe I will get a new server today. One can dream.

Does anyone else find it ironic that America's poor use of borrowing money and over spending got them into a mess. Now to get ourselves out of the mess, we are going to borrow money and spend some more?

Piper, but then I would have to join the Duncan Country Club and that just goes against my grain.

There's a rant coming on. But. I WILL resist... I WILL resist...

I have been ranting about it for some three years or more. Many of us who blog have been warning that this was going to happen but the public instead of heeding a warning elected a socialist who bemoans the Bush spending then is going to do more of the same...

There are ways to stimulate an economy....but not by government spending unless it is to buy a product. The build up for WW Two brought the USA out of the great depression...none of the FDR programs helped for any length of
time and I have my serious doubts that any of Obama's programs will do much except gain him votes from those who want the free bread and circuses.

Oh, if only I could pay off my credit card by CHARGING MORE on it! Bah, it won't work for me and it won't work for America.

I'm with you on the weight loss thing. I didn't gain that much over the Holidays, but I'm still carrying more than I want to. Perhaps we can encourage each other in our attempts to slim down some.

I'm with you on the weight thing. I have cut back to one glass of wine a day and no seconds, etc. That is about the most I want to do at my age. I encourage you and send a hug for your efforts. I'm trying to eat better. I have suffered giving up wheat/gluten, but I did it. I miss sandwiches and the gluten free bread is not great. If I can do that why can't I eat less? Hmmmm.

Obviously, Lou, I like your choice of music.

Doc, It is funny how we have special memories of certain songs - I have many memories to go with my Fogelberg music.

My word verification was "karbitor" as if the computer knows that I am cutting out carbs.
