Another Softball Game

Jesse had a softball game last night. We picked up GBN1 and took her to the game with us. Yes, I left GBN2 at home. Yes, I felt very guilty, but I did want to be able to watch the game without chasing little girls. Toby did not go to the game. Maybe if he had been there, we could have divided and conquered. GBN1 loved the game. She was interested in everything, but stayed right with me. She was pretty intent on the game. It helps that she knew most of the players including her Uncle Trabis (Travis) and Aunt YaYa (Sarah). The bag of popcorn from the concession stand was a treat too. After the game, GBN1 was wound up and not wanting to go home. We called her parents to see if she could spend the night with me. Yes, they made me feel guilty for not wanting to pick up GBN2, but I did want to sleep at some point. Sometimes it is good to only take one child and have some quality time. GBN1 promised to stay home next time and let me take GBN2 somewhere - yeah right!
Notice the leaves on the ground in the photo above. We had some strong storms Wed. night that brought high winds and some hail. The forecast is for more storms tonight.

Ah... we have t-storms in our forecast today, as well. The unusually high humidity we're experiencing is gonna make things miserable... it's already 73 degrees/80% humidity and not yet 0900. Ugh.

Nice action pic!!!

Lou you did the right thing. Quality time is the best time. Shelley and I will be taking our oldest grandson to a professional soccer match in Dallas this summer and baby brother will have to be left home. Landry won't like it but we will plan a trip with just him next time.

Your trip to the ball park with GBN1 will be something that the two of you will remember for a long time to come!

Hummm softball games and broken fingernails. Even though I am not blessed to have grandchildren I do understand the need to maybe have one at a time. You know it is also good for the parents to have only one child at a time...when the kids are little (or grown) it is good for parents to have one on one time. And it is also good for the kids to be on their own...away from sibs for awhile. So don't feel guilty...the way I see it is good for everyone.

Anny and Dale, I understand the one on one time, but when you see GBN2 with her big blue eyes begging you to take her too...But I stuck to my guns.

Sweetthing and I are planning on being out in your country the middle part of September. Hope we can get together for lunch or something while we are there. We are planning on camping on Lake Waurika for about a month...hope to do some fishing if the wind doesn't blow us off the lake

Guyk, September should be good - still a little hot, but the lake should be nice. I have a friend who just built a beautiful home on Waurika lake. I would love to do lunch with you and sweetthing.
