Off to France

My baby leaves for France soon - before I get home from Dallas. She probably planned that so I would not be able to lecture her on those things mothers lecture about. I'm not really worried about her. She is a good egg. I want her to have a grand adventure. Yet, there is that mother thang that just needs to say, "Don't forget your underwear and money, be good, and have fun." I could probably say much more, but I've said those things before. Surely, she knows me and my thoughts. I will just add, "Be sure to take lots of photos for me to paint." And maybe I will say, "I love you," but she knows that.

My heart goes out to you, you sound just like me when I left Chara at the airport Sunday morning, it's such a mix of feelings. You are excited for them and want them to have a great time. But, gosh my little girl can do this without me, thing gets ya. I just wanted her to look a little sad about flying off, but she didn't. In all truth I am glad she is confident enough to go out on her own, as I know you are about Jesse, but darn!!

We need to get together next week and console each other.

Reminds me of Tim Hawkins--the commedy guy who points out how we as parents say the obvious---so we might as well roll with it. It is what we do so well. google Tim Hawkins, if you have never seen his videos, and see that now that he has kids, he does and says the same things.

BIG adventure for Jess! I'm green. :D

Even though it's tough... you'll get over it, Mom. Trust me.

My mom was freaking out. But when I told her that the place I was staying had unlimited access for me to make USA calls, she got better :)
