Rogers Workshop Day 2

This was today's demo by Steve Rogers. We all started to paint today, but did not get far. I worked on a full sheet of watercolor paper, which is not my usual style. The biggest watercolor painting I have ever done was on a half sheet. It took me a while just to get my drawing done - then I started establishing some colors. The demo today was on water reflections - as seen in the painting. Of course, you have to get the object painted before you can paint reflections. Hopefully tomorrow will see more painting. I am enjoying the teacher and his teaching. It is also fun to watch my friend, Barb, and see the wonder in her eye - this is her first watercolor workshop.

After the workshop, we drove up Central Freeway (75) to the outlet mall. The biggest adventure there was driving in traffic. I guess after a day of watercolor, I was brain dead and did not feel like shopping. I am a bit homesick too, which is difficult to explain, but there you are.
