Divin' at the Diva's

We went out to the Diva's place yesterday afternoon for some swimmin' and fun fellowship. They have quite the nice deck and above-ground pool. Three sides of the Diva's house is a large screened in porch with funky furniture. Her house is way out in the boonies - so it is all very private with beautiful views. The gathering was pretty spur-of-the-moment. Jesse had ridden her motorcycle out to swim and visit the Diva's daughter. So the Diva called me and said, "Ya'll come," and we did. I threw together a few items like nectarines and rum for daiquiris and some chips and dip stuff. The Diva pulled hot dogs out of the freezer and threw them on the grill. Someone had made banana pudding. We had quite a feast for a thrown together party.

Boy, that sounds good. And, that pool certainly looks inviting.

It is about four million degrees here, and I sure could use a good dunking about now.

Andy beat me to it... floatin' around in a pool with a daiquiri (or a marg) sounds like JUST the ticket for a hot summer afternoon. And it's hot here in Pittsburgh, believe it or don't.

Andy and Buck, I forgot to mention that the Diva's pool has gotten quite warm - like swimning in a hot tub. But the Diva has a plan to freeze some water jugs and make big ice cubes to put in the pool - ha!

Sounds like a plan, Lou.

Seriously, I thought about that. Those above ground pools do get quite warm when it is continually four million degrees.

"Hot Fun in the Summertime!" ;)
