Oldies But Cuties

One of the fun things about FB is seeing photos long forgotten posted by people you used to spend lots of time with. This photo was probably taken my sophomore year in high school - I'm about 15 or 16. The little blond on the front row was my best friend. She lived down the street, and we spent lots of time together. We walked home from school together - always to her house first since her father was a fanatic about that. Then she would get permission to walk me home. Then I would walk her back home and so on. We eventually had a falling out over something stupid. But our senior year we had gym together, and we became buddies again. She and her sister (tall girl on the back row) came to live with us for a little while. I loved having sisters. Then I went off to college, and they went their separate ways. We kept up with each other for a while, but marriage, babies, life happened. Now and then we run into each other in WF. We still squeal with delight when we see each other and hug and try to catch up on our lives, but we don't. Odd that.

Cuties for sure, especially the one in the middle on the back row!

I gotta agree with Dale on the "cutie" bits. All of ya!

Ah, Facebook. It does have its moments, eh?

Thanks guys. Glad you could pick me out - means that I haven't changed that much :)

Saw the pic on FB the other day. Picked you out of the lineup in a heartbeat. You have your Father's eyes.

Very nice. Love your stories!

You know, it's funny how life takes friends in different directions. My best boyhood friend (from first grade through early 20's) and I somehow got separated.

Looooooong stories. But, it was just LIFE. I see him now a few times a year, and it's just like we were kids again...like nothing has changed (when we get together). We live about two miles from each other, yet rarely visit. Odd that...

As Buck said, The Facebook does have its moments.

BR, I've always thought I looked like my dad too. His eyes were ice blue and could pin you to the floor - quite scary when you were in trouble.

Jo, a friend once gave me some storyteller earrings, because I was always telling stories.

Andy, it is odd the way friendships turn out - some people we stay close to forever and others we don't. I have a high school reunion coming up next year, but I don't care to see most of those people. And those I would like to see, I can do that on my own - if I want. Long story.
