Speakum Sign

Today is my painting day with the Painted Ladies. With all the work on the house lately, these days may get few and far between. I will enjoy the Ladies in the meantime.

Today is also my ASL class. We are suppose to tell a story using our knowledge of sign language. That always reminds me of my favorite Western movie, El Diablo. There is a scene where an Indian comes out of no where and kills a bad guy. Then the Indian dances around, scalps the bad guy, and looks very ferocious. One of the good guys says, "Say something, Bob. You speakum sign." Bob answers with his usual, "Roberto!" It's a very funny movie. Anyway, I'm suppose to speakum sign today. Believe it or not, I had a difficult time coming up with a story to tell - one where I knew enough ASL to tell the story. I did manage to come up with a story. Now I need some practice. Here is a great website to help people learn ASL. I have to go there frequently to get reminders on my ASL. The old brain just does not work like it used to.

I think it's great that you are always learning something new, Lou. It inspires me. :)

THAT certainly resonates!

Mrs. G, It's nice to see you in the blog world.

Buck, If our hearing goes next, will we still use the word "resonate?"

People who haven't seen El Diablo are missing out!

Another "can't imagine" for me, could not learn a new language in any way! Bet your story was great!
