While I was off with Mom in Dallas, Toby was busy with the plumbing. I'd feel guilty about this, but crawling around under the house is not what I do best. You'd think as short as I am that going down under would be right up my alley, but you'd be wrong. Toby had other help with the plumbing project on Friday and again on Saturday. Bob the Builder came over with several of his sons to help out. In fact there may have been too many Indians and not enough chiefs - or one boy is a whole boy, two boys is half a boy, and three boys ain't no boy at all. Actually Bob's boys are great help and good boys, although their jokes are long on silly and short on funny. If you know me well, you know how I love having a house full of boys romping, and stomping and playing tricks on each other. I am the queen of paybacks. They also eat like you cooked the best food in the world when it was only hot dogs and chili (I cooked on Sat). Jesse cooked for them on Friday - I think they are all a little bit in love with her - or at least in awe.
Anyway, most of the plumbing is done except for a few little things. I need to finish taping and bedding and painting (my thang) the hot water closet before Toby can hook up the hot water tank and the water softener. When I dropped Mom off in WF on Friday, I made a trip to Home Depot to pick up the bathtub that we had special ordered along with some other building material. As the HD boys were loading the bathtub into my truck, they realized there was a big chunk out of the side of the tub as if the fork-lift had been jammed into the tub - great. I had to return it and order again, which meant we could not hook up the tub and drain while we were plumbing - bummer.
After church on Sunday, we went to WF to celebrate Toby's mom's birthday. We went to Olive Garden to eat. Once again, I will say that having Jesse with us always gets the best service from the male wait-staff. I had baked a pound cake, which we ate for dessert along with some fresh berries and whipped cream - my favorite.
Speaking of Jesse, be sure and drop by her new blog, Red Sky Pottery, to check out her latest pots. Also, she decided to keep her old blog, Skybag, to continue to post photographs. You might want to earmark those blogs so that you can keep up with her, and I don't have to be such a mother about reminding you.
It was a good weekend - a bit warm and windy, but okay for working inside and down under. We did break down and turn on the air conditioner this weekend.

I've been running both the AC AND the furnace for the past week, even though we've only been in the mid-80s. The danged wind has been too high for me to put my awning down and leave the windows open and I just HATE that!
Happy Birthday to your MIL!
wv: marsi. Which brings back memories of Marcy, my first-ever REAL GF. Dang, THAT was a long time ago...
I checked out Jesses new blog, pretty cool.
Thanks Buck, for the b-day wishes. I'm pretty tired of the wind here. Not only was it blowing like crazy, it was hot.
