Bo Man

Thirty-two years ago this morning, I was checking out the new man in my life. He was kind of long and skinny with huge blue eyes. He seemed to have lots of skin - like a puppy. I thought he was maybe not the most beautiful baby, but I was instantly in love with him.

Since Toby and I were just babies ourselves when we had Bo, we took him everywhere with us. When Toby got off work on Friday afternoons, we would go play pool with friends. We sat Bo's car seat on one of the pool tables and everyone just played around him. I have pictures of Bo playing on the porch in RR while we played volley ball at Terry Booker's. He was at Toby's college graduation as well as mine. He grew up with us and was always such a little man. We called him Bo Man or Mr. Baggett. We still do. He was always serious and quiet, but had a funny sense of humor - he is a double-bred smart A$$, after all. I love watching him with his girls - he gets such a kick out of them. They think he is just pretty wonderful, too. Happy Birthday, Bo Man. You are everything I wanted in a son.

Nice, Lou. Very nice. My SN1 did a lot o' "adult stuff" way before his time, as well. That's what happens when you're a young parent, innit?

Happy Birthday to your SN1!

Buck, Our son's turned out pretty good - don't you think?

Airman Mom, Thanks. I see how you love your kids too. Sometimes I wish I had had ten more!
