Just to let you know, I'm working frantically to get the mudding, taping, bedding, and texture done on the new part of the house. Then we can paint. Then we can put down the hard board. Then we can put down the tile and flooring. I can get cabinets. Then we can do tile in the kitchen and bathroom. I know that sounds like a lot, but we are getting closer, and I feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is the part where you get to decide on the decor and colors. I love this part. It makes me feel useful. When we started on the house, I loved the framing. Seeing the walls go up is very exciting. But then things really slowed down with electrical, plumbing, and all the little stuff to dry in and get ready for sheetrock. That part makes me crazy. Now, I'm back in my element, but it is keeping me hopping.
The living room. Notice Toby's 29er and his new tires.
The bedroom. You can see the horse grazing outside.
The bathroom.
Hall of closets and laundry room/office.
View from the old part of the house. We made a new opening and closed up the old doorway.
Note my texture and the new kitten, Chaco. The outdoor kitchen which is already in use. Somebody left the 4-wheeler parked near the patio.

That ceiling is AWESOME!!!
Lookin' great, Lou! Seriously.
Love the texture, and ditto what Staci said about the ceiling.
And, y'all even put in a bathtub, too!
Seriously, I know it's gotta feel good to finally be able to imagine moving in.
Good on y'all! Y'all have my deep admiration. I would NEVER have patience for it.
What Andy said about patience and admiration. There simply aren't very many people like you and Toby left in these Untied States... you two bein' the ONLY ones I know.
Agreed! THe house is looking great!
I love the ceiling and lust after your laundry/closet room! Amazing work!!!
PS my word verification was "hotocie" -- does that make me a "hottie?" :) or maybe it's just a subliminal message about how darn hot it is these days!
Staci,
Thanks.
Andy,
Even Okies take baths now and then.
Buck,
"ONLY ones I know" - you mean tight-wads or closet construction workers?
Becky,
Thanks.
Catherine,
Thanks, you Hottie!
...you mean tight-wads or closet construction workers?
