And Then There Was Light...

...and lots of laughter.

My friend, The Junk Diva, gave me this chandelier over a year ago. She collects and re-does old furniture and other funky items like this light. When I gushed over it, she gave it to me for our house. Well, we just now got it put up. When I stepped back and flipped the switch and the lights came on, I laughed out loud. And I kept laughing. Toby thought I was crazy and said so. "Why does that make you laugh?"

I don't really know why the laughter bubbled up and exploded, but it did. It may be that putting up that light means we are that much closer to finishing the house. It may be that every time I turn that light on, I will think of the Diva. She always brings joy and makes me laugh. It only reasons that such a funky chandelier would do the same. And it is funky! I do love it. Just look at those tassels!

You're right, it IS funky. Enjoy Lou.

I know why you laughed. For the same reason I laugh until tears come when I scuffle through piles of leaves every fall. Some things just make us happy.

You have finally snapped. :^)Laughing is something the Junk Diva brings out in people. What a sweet person she is to give you the chandelier!

That chandelier has CHARACTER. Which is very important in life, as is laughing.

Deb,
It could have been a breaking point laugh.

Becky,
Yep, I find the craziest things funny.

Joyce,
Thanks. I keep thinking Ben might show up to help with the electrical.

CoP,
The Diva is a sweet person - ya think?

Buck,
The chandelier may have too much character, but I love it.

Jo,
We are close, but there are things like trim and floor which take us a while to do.
