For our anniversary we went to OKC yesterday. We ware not too exciting, but we still enjoy spending time together. We mostly ran some errands that Toby needed to do. I did get some new clay and plan on doing some wheel throwing. I can count that as Summer Art, right? Toby bought some beer making stuff and some beer too. Since the temps have gone into the triple digits beer seems like the thang. And since the blender blew up and the brown truck of happiness has not brought a new one, we have not had any daiquiris lately. We went by the phone store to look at a new plan and new phones. That may have been our big anniversary present to each other. While at the phone store the phone-guy was moving everything from our old phones to our new phones, I showed him a very old text from Toby. I have kept it for a couple of years because it was so funny. Toby was suppose to text me a phone number, but what I got was something like this "m.j.wfd". He had an old phone and did not know how to make it text numbers. The phone-guy got a big laugh out of that and showed it to the other employees. We all laughed at Toby's expense. But you know what they say about pay backs! Later in the day, we were at Sam's Club. We had been on the phone to Jes making plans to meet her after work. So we were walking along when Toby heard a phone go off, which was pretty amazing with his hearing. He was working to get his phone out of his pocket and find the right button to answer the call, when I said, "Don't worry; that is someone else's phone." Then I realized that it was mine, but I had missed the call. We laughed and laughed. Oh yeah, I'm so phone smart! Not! Oh yeah, I can hear better than Toby! Not! Such is life after 35 years of marriage.
We did meet up with Jesse and her roommate. We took them to Bricktown for margaritas and supper. We had lots of laughs with them - fun girls! We took a couple of photos to document the occasion. It was stinkin' hot outside, and the restaurant was not much better - I was glowing.

Great pics, yet again. You may not be too "phone-smart" but you and yours sure know how to use a camera.
An anniversary celebration in The Big City is a good thang... even if it's OKC. (He ducks. He runs.)
OKC was Ok. Jesse said the pics looked like we were at some drinking party.
I expect an invitation the next time you have a drinking party! :) Those margaritas look DIVINE.
Come on out anytime. Got the new blender yesterday!
Boy, I'm glad you got a blender!! Looks like you had a pretty good day. Congratulations. Your phone comments were funny. We got a blue tooth system so we can use our cell phones like house phones. We are always cutting each other off and still can't get to the phones in time. Driving our children nuts! Ah well, they always call back. : )
jo, I have not gotten the hang of this new phone yet. Is it the phone or is it me?
WOOOHOOOO!
