My plan is to post lots more pics of Ecuador, but my "un poco enferma" turned into "mucho enferma." I've got some sort of sinus infection causing me to run a low grade fever and feel like someone whipped up on me. I even went to the doctor - something I never do. He gave me amoxilin. Why can't those silly doctors work some sort of magic and send you home feeling great? I'm still feeling pretty rotten. So it might be a day or so before I post more pics.

You did the right thing going to the Dr. Not only is the language different, the bugs are different :-)
When I used to fly (I avoid it now) I used to fill a little bottle with saline and spray up my nose with it. That air conditioning is pretty rough on the body, and who knows when they last changed the filter.
Welcome Home!
Hope you start feeling better kiddo!
When I came back from Puerto Rico all of a sudden all my skin went reddish and I was itching all over. Turns out I had scabies "7-year itch" but it was easy to treat. The bugs liked me so much they burrowed into my skin.
Make sure you take all the pills, even after you start feeling better!
The saline cure has come up several times. Toby wanted to buy some on our way to the airport before we left for Ecuador, but we did not find a pharmacy handy and therefore blew it off. Turns out it would have been very helpful.
Thanks, John. I hate being sick.
The doc thinks I have an sinus infection caused by my allergies here in the US - conditions were just right for me to get some sort of bacterial thang. I just want to be well.
Feel better soon. We are into Canada today and phone will be $1 a minute so no calling. Internet even more. Yikes! Love hearing about your trip. Hasta lumbago, as my mom used to say. Hugs.
Aiiieee. NOT good... but good on ya for goin' to the doctor. Stefan is right about bugs and stuff bein' different, so it's better to be safe.
Get well soon!
I'm doing better today - drugs are good. But I still feel like I've been rode hard and put up wet.
