Here is a painting that I have been working on.
It doesn't pop like I want it to, so it is not very exciting, but it is what it is. I also painted with my friend Barb on Monday. We always do watercolor. She has been taking a class in painting in triads. So that is what we did. We put down three colors and painted only using them. We chose to paint pears that she had already drawn out. Our paintings look similar, but have different triads. Very interesting. I should have taken a picture. Barb has done a series of triads using the pear drawing. Her's turned out very nice. Mine, well, not so much. It seems that I have not done a big watercolor in a while. I did lots of Christmas cards in watercolor, but they are small. I need to practice on bigger paintings. I have also been busy in the pottery room - getting ready for Valentine's Day.

Oooooh, I really like your painting. It pops to me. Love the rich southwest colors and look.
I would like to see the pears. It is fun to try that idea. I just need to paint anything.
Jo,
Thanks. I will get the pears out and take some pics and get them to you.
I've been told that blue is a happy color in French. So when you say "Love is Blue" it is a happy thing, not a unhappy thing.
Bleu, bleu, l'amour est bleu - Blue, Blue, love is Blue
L'amour est bleu quand je suis à toi - Love is Blue when I am with you
Kind of mushy, but the song came in second to "Hey Jude" so someone liked it, hee
Lou, the more I look at this the more I like it. I think it is done.
Etienne,
I've always been told that in NM a blue door keeps the bad spirits away.
Jo,
I think I will try the changes you suggested - pushing back the widow and dulling the door. I haven't done it yet, but I will.
Well I definitely like the subject. One day I will have a house in New Mexico with a blue door. At least I can dream!
Anon,
I assume this FF. Definitely get a blue door when you move to NM.
