Schools and Classes

Another week of school is done and gone. Then we are down to four more class periods and one of those is a final. I guess I had better get busy and plan that out better. I have some ideas on what I want to do for the final, but nothing written in stone. My art appreciation students have been doing powerpoint presentations on artists of their choice. They are doing well. Getting the slide shows to work has been the toughest challenge. Several have struggled in front of the class only to have to sit down and work on getting their show from their own computer to the school's computer. Ha! Now they know how I feel up there. I am such a computer expert that I just finished writing emails to students who are missing some work - reminding them to get things turned in soon. I used the school's gradebook and messaging on Blackboard. When all was sent, I saw that on my email, I had sent everything to myself. On the message thing, I know I put the student's address in, but who knows if I actually sent the emails. Good grief!

Here is another little pastel of flowers that may be a possibility for the CTAC Party that I am doing next week.  Tulips are a simple flower and maybe easier to do, but I find them sort of boring. I like the poppies with all the color much better. I may try a sunflower, but they usually look like big yellow spiders.

The tulips are beautiful. I like either the tulips or the poppies. (You know I like red.) Sunflowers are hard for me, shading on yellow.

Your class must be so much fun. I have not enjoyed zoom stuff at all.

I would like to be at the painting party!

Jo,
Maybe it is the yellow shading on the sunflowers that causes me problems. Or, it is the petal shape. I just know that I am never satisfied with the sunflowers that I paint.

My art appreciation class has been fun. Fortunately, we have not had to zoom since January. I wish you were coming to my paint party. We need to get together soon.

Thanks, Jo. I wish you were going to be in my class. Heck, I wish we were painting together lots more often.
