Birthday Weekend

It has been a weekend of birthday parties, and we aren't finished yet. Friday night we had some friends over for dinner to celebrate my up-coming birthday. I do have some photos, but they are on Jesse's camera and will have to be posted later. This morning, Toby and I picked up both Grand daughters and went to McDonalds to eat and play. Then we went to WalMart to pick out a new birthday bike for GBN. She chose the Princess bike - imagine that! We let her ride it to the front of the store and bought it. She does not really grasp the idea of pedaling and steering at the same time. She said that she needed "new tires" because she could not steer her bike. We kept GBN1 busy while her daddy put together another big birthday surprise. She got a little Tike's Play House. When she saw it, she said, "Wow, I want one of those!" It took her a few minutes to realize the house was hers. Later in the afternoon, GBN1 had a birthday party with several of her girlfriends including TFNP and his royals. At the birthday party she got a new princess dress. She and her friends put on their princess dresses to become Ariel, Sweeping Booty, and Cinderella. The knee pads and helmet that Aunt Jes gave GBN1 were a big hit. Aunt Jes also gave hula hoop lessons.

Tomorrow some of my friends are throwing me a Hawaii Five O party - we are to wear our Hawaiian shirts. Yep, I turn the big 50.

Happy Birthday!

Sounds like GBN1 needs to get together with my cousin's grand daughter Alexa. She is going through that princess phase, too. It must be something about the age. Alexa turned 4 in August.
