Garage Sale.

We had the big garage sale this weekend at Mom's old house. Let me tell you there are some interesting folks that make garage sales, and you never know what they are going to buy. At one point I started to walk over to the conviencience store to buy a Pepsi and I thought, "What if someone steals something? Wait! What am I thinking? It won't matter!" On Friday evening, a really nice lady bought some things including a couch. She said she would come back for the couch on Saturday. We were closing up the sale when she came back with her brother-in-law to load the couch - he had his six kids in his truck with them. We told them they were welcome to whatever they wanted. We helped them load the couch, they helped us load the refrigerator, they hauled off lots of junk - what a trade.

Jesse took lots of pictures again. I will let her post first on her blog. We got Mom's house emptied out. The store house is empty. We played beauty shop one last time in the old shop putting a little color on our hair. It was a beautiful weekend. Let me say that again, a beautiful weekend! The temps reached the low 80's - perfect for a garage sale.

Alison, it is always good to hear from you. Tex/OK weather is always interesting this time of year. We could still have a freeze, but then again it can be just pretty warm. It is the wind this time of year that can make things miserable.

Glad to hear the sale went well. We were warm... and windy... here yesterday, as well. Methinks Spring is just around the corner.

Lou,

You've been AMAZING in the whole move. I know your Mother is grateful for all the help, organizing, and sweet company in this BIG undertaking....but please allow me to say publicly -- on this blog anyway -- applaud you being ONE pretty incredible person! I can't even imagine the hours, sweat-equity, tears, and muscles it took to accomplish this feat.

and now let me say my grammar really stinks on that last posting....yes..I DO teach writing, but I am also not good at multi-tasking, obviously. Sorry for the funky sentence structures! :)

Buck, I am hoping for spring, soon. We ate at a burger place in WF over the weekend. For some reason the place was packed at 2 PM on a Saturday. The waitress said it was probably "people feeling spring fling." We thought she may have meant "fever" but who knows. Maybe "spring fling" is good, too.

Catherine, As you can tell, sentence structure is not a big worry for me. I constantly fight with my Microsoft Word.

Sonds like everything went well. When your all done and you still have things left over try a Free online garage sale. Free is the best part because you can leave items in your online garage sale for as long as it takes.

Good Luck!!
