Farm Fun

Since last Friday’s mad dash to Tipton, OK, I have been way behind on my blog reading. I have to admit that I have sat down at the computer and just have not had the inclination to write or read.
Saturday, the GGs came out to the Lazy B and helped move the big bales with the old tractor. GBN1 loves to wear the "ear muffs" which are needed on the old tractor, because it is noisy. Toby put earplugs in GBN2 who sat patiently and let him plug them in, but later, she tossed them in the floor of the tractor. GBN1 reported, "…and they fell through a hole in the floor of the tractor." That was the end of the tractor ride for the GGs, but we moved over to the four-wheeler. The love the four-wheeler especially when the Great Dane runs beside us. I made the mistake of letting GBN2 set in front for a while, but she kept reaching to turn the key off. That was the end of the four-wheeler ride. We moved on to feeding chickens and gathering eggs and picking not-quite-ripe tomatoes. We eventually moved into the house to watch the OSU football game. What fun!

I am currently thinking on a more serious post (serious – yeah right), but we will see if it comes to fruition. I still need to do some catching up, and today is the younger art class that takes more of my time.

I'm not sure what GBN2 thought of it all. She has such a serious look while in the tractor and on the 4-wheeler. Not sure if that was caution or determination.

Inpassing, In the tractor pic, GBN2 is getting earplugs put in her ears - serious stuff. Notice on the four-wheeler she is determined to reach for things she is not suppose to reach.

Bet they had a little bit of fun anyway. Drew has discovered the throttle lever on our 4-wheeler.

Jenny, GBN1 punched the throttle a couple of times when I did not have the 4-wheeler in neutral. She thought it great fun when it jumped forward and I squealed.

re: Your pending serious post. I think pics of the grandbabies are seriously GOOD. And they're always seriously good. You can't ever go wrong in this space!

My paternal grandfather was one of the original settlers in the Tipton area..he later moved the family to a farm near Cash where my Dad was born in 1915

It looks like it was a fun day anyway!

Buck, thanks for the encouragement. I'm not sure about the serious post, yet.

guyk, I'm not sure why anyone would purposely live in Tipton other than farming. My relatives came from East Texas to Veronon and then some came across the river to play sports for OK and ended up staying.

Becky, we always have fun on the farm.
