This pumpkin showed up in my yard. How did it get there? It’s not like I live in a neighborhood where someone could drop off a pumpkin. I live in the middle of a blue-stem pasture. My closest neighbor is at least a football field away. The nearest roads are even further away. Could my dogs have stolen it and brought it home? It doesn’t seem to have any serious bite marks or be mauled in anyway, and it is sort of heavy for a dog. I have heard of coyotes eating watermelons - maybe a coyote dropped off his stolen pumpkin - trying to get my dogs in trouble. It does have a price tag, but I cannot tell from what store. It is actually a perfect little pumpkin. I will take it as a sign that fall is coming. Any other thoughts?
Frankie (Fighty Bitey Bad Cat, El Diablo) checked the pumpkin out, but was stumped, too.

Charlie Brown would be SO pleased!!! The GREAT PUMPKIN has come to your house!!!
Equally as strange...I have a parriot that lives in my trees. Like a really real one...I have pictures. He is green and I named him BIRDIE.
Anny, I never pictured you as a bird woman.
My first thought was Jesse, but then I remembered she is in France. It's still a mystery, then.
Maybe one of your painting ladies is suprising you?
Aliens.
A drive-by gourding??
Joyce, The pumpkin was out behind the house - not really where someone would leave it as a gift.
Buckskins Rule, I thought maybe someone was out throwing pumpkins, but they would have had to drive the quarter mile up to my house to throw it - surely I would have noticed.
Buck, Aliens in your neck of the woods might be rather normal (Roswell), but not so common here in OK.
Becky, it is an odd mystery - isn't it!
