We weathered the snowstorm, which stopped Okies in their tracks. Today the sun is shining and the dogs are outside once again. Jesse called, and she is having a wonderful time with her cousins skiing, sledding and apparently laughing lots. The GGs called bright and early this morning to say that they were "wrapping coffee beans for the husbands." I’m not sure what that meant, but I think the idea was to get to wrap presents of some sort for someone. My sister called from Amarillo, to let me know that the storm was worse in OK than in Amarillo – thanks Kathy. Toby spoke to his family in Electra, TX. They apparently had a rough go yesterday getting everyone home safely - due to bad roads and getting stuck. They did not all get there until late last night. We opted not to risk our lives going to Electra today. That seemed to be the story around here – people getting stuck and stranded on OK highways. I was very thankful that Toby and I were home safe and sound, as were my children – safe in their places. It was the wind that made things especially bad here – well, and the ice/rain/snow, too. It was pretty much blizzard conditions. Here are some photos from during the storm.
Here are photos taken this morning. In case you are wondering, that is a portable chicken coop (the only animals that we did not let in the house last night - it was a four-dog night). We are hoping to get out this afternoon to see the GGs and maybe run by Wal-Mart. Life goes on.

Merry Christmas, Lou and Toby!
Looks like it was nearly whiteout conditions there for awhile.
Hope your Christmas was good, Lou!
Brrrrr.
We have similar vistas today, but the brunt of the storm passed us by. And we are grateful.
this global warming is gonna kill us all
