More Snow

It was kind of a strange morning. I woke up groggy – probably because we did not get to bed until 10:30 last night. I know, I know, but I am a country girl who gets up at 5:30, and 5:30 came early today. Things were going as usual at first. I made my way to my recliner, Toby handed me my coffee, and we sat there talking and waking up. The dog went out; the cat came in. Suddenly, Toby threw his coffee. It went all over the baby blanket I am crocheting for a young friend. It was the third time something had been spilled on my blanket. Toby looked horrified but claimed it was the cat’s fault. I have my doubts.
After my rude awakening, it started snowing. This photo was taken about 30 minutes ago. It is messing up my art day with my girls. I called art girls to say that they could come paint if they wanted, but to be careful on the roads – chances are that they will not come. Maybe I will paint all by myself. I’m tired of snow and muck and cold. Here is another photo from the "Big Freeze" – Zoe dog jumping over the rope pulling the sled. The dogs seemed to love playing in the snow. If I wanted to play in the snow, I would move back to NM.
Here is my painting that I started last week and finished yesterday with the Painted Ladies. Another people painting. I may have posted this quad-painting last fall, but here it is matted. I painted the third panel. After getting it all matted, I realized that I had used the wrong side of the mat board, and will have to redo the whole thing. Oh well.

I REALLY like the quad-painting. Nice work!

I'm also tired of the weather having its way with us. But... we should count our blessings. DeeSee really got whacked again yesterday.

silly me---I threw some birdseed on the walk for all the robins migrating through today, and the snow covered the seed in no time at all. usually the migrating robins get grubs out of the yard, but they are sitting in the oak trees.

At least you can rejoice in the fact that you aren't getting an East coast dose of global warming.

Oh, I'm sorry for you. We have been cold and wet but no snow. It got up to 56 today, but we didn't get out. We don't golf on weekends and so stayed in. I painted, too. Tired of being in......

Love the paintings. You have a great touch with those watercolors. Nice to look at!
