Wild Times in River City
Several of my old Red River friends have been sharing photos on Facebook. My friend, Anny, sent me this photo. I had to share it here just to show you how cute I was back in the day. I believe the date was Labor Day Weekend of 1976. One of the guys is Steve Roberts, but neither Anny nor I could think of the other guy’s name. He was just some tourist guy that we met. That was the way of things. I would like to point out that I am probably standing on the car bumper and that I am just barely taller than the guys. Also, the T-shirt that I am wearing was one of my favorite RR shirts ever. T-shirts and jeans – my basic wardrobe! Come to think of it, it is still my wardrobe.

There's just SUMTHIN' about a woman who loves tee shirts and jeans above all else. You know you're gonna have fun with them, no matter what ya do. That's been my experience, anyhoo.
Lookin' good, Lou. Lookin' good!
Thanks, Buck. I probably be wearing jeans when I'm 80.
Awesome pic! You look great!
(That looks like one of the cars I've owned in my life. Used to love the land yaughts.)
Thanks Wek. I always thought those cars were used by the Mafia.
I'm with Buck on the jeans and t-shirt thing.
I'm sure this isn't where you wanted this to go when you posted that pic, but...seeing those hats, the long hair and beards makes me very happy that I was but 10 years old in 1976.
BR,
Those were not real cowboys, but wanna-be's. One of them was a jeep driver for a tour company in NM - he had to look the part.

You missed a great good time, BR. Trust me on this. :-)
You're probably right, Buck. I take solace in the fact that there are no pictures of me with bad hair.
