Jesse threw a surprise birthday party for me last night, and it was a total surprise (notice that my candles say that I am only 25 :) Jesse baked me a cake and fixed a wonderful shrimp boil supper. I was expecting a quiet evening at home watching NCIS, but friends and family showed up with more food and drink. Apparently it was a last minute, thrown together party, but it was very nice and lots of fun. I ate way too much - so much for my diet, but hey, it was my party!
Here are the birthday girls.

Happy belated Birthday, Lou!
The fact that Jesse threw you a surprise party, and that your family and friends all showed up on weekday, says a great deal about your character.
Not that I had any doubts...
BR, Thanks for the birthday wishes. Having friends who love you is the best birthday gift of all - not to mention a daughter who throws the party and cooks the meal.
...and cooks the meal.
FINEST kind! ;-)
Mmmmm... Modelo!
I'm glad ya had a party and were surrounded with those you love. As you said: that's the best of all.
wv: bratello. An unruly Italian child.
what kinda cake was that? how cool to have a suprise party. I bet that was hard for her to pull off.
we had a hail storm this morning. good thing Bob mowed last night. little white marbles were bouncing all over the yard.
Buck,
Lindz' husband is the Modelo Man, Toby had Shiner Bock.
Joyce,
The cake was a simple 7up pound cake - my all-time favorite.
Yesterday morning we had a dark purple cloud move in from the south and rain, but no hail.
