Wild and Windy

It was wild times with the GGs yesterday at the Lazy B. Since I have little computer time, I will post a few pics from yesterday. If the wind had not been howling, the day would have been great. As it was, it was a bit miserable. Allergy problems were an issue for all of us. Still the GGs had a picnic outside. They had to get up on the table to keep the dogs from eating their peanut butter crackers. Zoe had no problem reaching them anyway. The GGs took a walk down to the barn all by themselves or as GBN2 said, "a big ad-benture!"
Later Crewcraw took the GGs off in his new rig (built it himself over the winter). Here is a closer look. It was a big hit.
Jesse and I made supper while the GGs were off riding. The GGs made it back in time to help butter the French bread. Later we watched Princes Bride. I could see that movie a hundred times and not get tired of it – well maybe not a hundred times. I bathed the girls in my large bathroom sink – a real treat apparently. Jesse took photos and we laughed and laughed at the girls, but I’m not sure about posting them. This morning GBN2 is still asleep. Hmm, you would think she was tired or something. Today we are supposed to go to WF to see Grandma and get her little dog, Buddy. Mom is headed off to Chicago with a group of AARPs, and we are off like a herd of turtles in a bowl of peanut butter.

You will not believe me, but I set Princess Bride going when I babysat for a friend at church on Wednesday. wow. This grandma's youngest grandbaby has been in the hospital for nine days, and so she called me to give her regulars a break. I did not know her 2 or 4 year old, but we had fun. And they loved rolling down the hill in the backyard. But, the 4 year old girl did not like my Veggie Tale dvds. She wanted something with a princess! All I had was Princess Bride. They fell asleep watching it as i was a failure in getting them to nap.

love Princess Bride! It's a favorite among young and old. Funny story, I was on travel with Hubster and went to dinner with several of the 'guys'. Two of us kept tossing Princess Bride movie lines out all night long...
hope the wind settles down and you get a litte rain to wash those allergens away!

I hear ya about the wind... it was howlin' here yesterday as well. And more o' the same today. Ah... Spring!

Nice pics, as always. I have no comment on Princess Bride(s). The last princess bride I knew turned out rather badly. ;-)

Airman Mom, I think Princes Bride is the most quoted movie of all time. When the kids were little there was an HBO movie called El Diablo (I now have it on DVD) that was so funny - the kids and I watched it over and over and still quote it to this day.

Buck, It is worth the watch if you ever rent movies - just to be in the know.

Joyce, It is funny how I cannot get the kids to nap, but I do very well at napping myself.

Laurie, ahh, one of my favorite lines :)

Looks like it was a fun time for the GG's. Naps are highly over-rated anyway. You can always nap next week. :)

And why haven't you posted again, HUH, you are to busy I suppose? It's just 2 little bitty girls!

My girls quote Princess Bride all the time also, what a hoot.
