Jes is off in the mountains, and I am green with envy. Although it has been cooler here in OK the last week, it has been HUMID. People keep asking me, "Did you get a perm?" No, my hair is curly, and it is humid, so why bother trying to straighten it? Not using the hair-dryer or flat-iron is my way of "going green" this summer. I'm also not buying water bottles. Thank you very much.
Thought for the day: I'm tired of free thinkers who are not so free at all. They seem to be bound up in social norms and conformity and refuse to think outside the box. They expect everyone to be tolerant of their views, but have no tolerance for mine.

Exhibit Number Freakin' ONE for why I am no longer a liberal. Well, that and the rampant stupidity on that side o' the fence. ;-)
As for heat and humidity... It WAS nice here in SC for the first few days but a heat wave is settling in with both temps AND humidity in the high '90s. Aiiieee.
I am also very green. As for the free thinkers " Don't be so open minded your brains fall out" ops. to late.
It is super humid here too. The last 3 days it has been cloudy and rainy the sun decided to come out today and make this a sauna
It's like walking through soup out there, isn't it? Weird weather....
I hear you loud and clear on the free-thinking thing. (the first time I typed that it came out "freek-thinking" which might be my subconscious talking)
And on the curly hair thing - my hair is straight as a string, and it gets even straighter in the soup. GAH! I'd dang near die for some curly hair.
