Lazy Day at the Lazy B

I have taken full advantage of the snow day and been very lazy here at the Lazy B. With all the moving from the last two weeks and all that went on between, I have been worn out. Also, I have been fighting a sore throat, sinus, coughing thang. The coughing has been keeping me awake at night. Toby says it keeps him awake too, but his snoring says otherwise. I had planned on being lazy yesterday, but Jesse invited friends over for supper and made me clean house all day. I didn't mind; the company was delightful. They all headed home when the storm hit, and it hit with a fury - snow, wind, lightning and ice.
So with all the snow here in OK, everything was shut down and everyone stayed home. Everyone here was quite lazy. Well, Toby did get a bit stir-crazy and started shoveling snow and checking on the chickens and other farmer chores. Jesse took some pictures of the dogs in the house, so I took one of her too. This is Jesse on a snow day. Here is the afternoon soon glinting off the snow and hay bales. Here is our carport - notice that my car on the inside has the most snow. Toby working hard.

Lou, ain't it grand to have your own little corner of the world?

I mean, even when God decides to make things "inconvenient," it provides an opportunity to gear down, and enjoy the folks you love the most.

With the weather your having, I'd take a lazy day or two myself. Stay warm!

Although these pictures show sunshine, it had been a white-out earlier Tuesday morning.

Wed. morning the sun is shining, but it is colder than a well digger's ...

Aiiieee. You guys got a LOT more snow out of this thing than we did. I hear OKC is paralyzed under a foot of this crap.

It has yet to get above zero here in P-Ville, as I type.
