Let's Think Warm Thoughts

It will be another day of staying inside because the temperatures will not be above freezing – for the third day in a row. Jes and I did venture out yesterday, and it was bad. We attempted to visit friends living way out in the country to the north east of us. Hwy 7 was still snow packed. The country roads were more like ice packed due to the wind. As long as I just tootled along, we did fine. It was the hills that got me. We were way out in the middle of nowhere when I did not make it up one long hill and had to slide back down. At that point, I decided that it was not worth it. It was already late in the afternoon, and I did not want to be out on the ice after dark with the possibility of getting stuck. We turned around and headed home. Actually, Shay in his four-wheel drive truck came and got Jes, but I was a chicken. When I got home, Toby and I made a big pot of jambalaya. It was quite tasty.
Today, I would like to think of warmer times. This is one of my favorite photos of Aunt Jes and her niece.
Or how about this one taken at the end of the Hotter'n Hell Hundred?

I dunno if warm thoughts help but I like the pics! More of the same here, too. This is getting OLD.

Buck, You know I don't like February anyway. This one is really starting off poorly.

And we are HOPING for snow here in coastal Texas! As in, my kids are running to the window every 10 minutes to see if it's started yet. Thanks for taking a peek at my blog; I'm enjoying yours as well. :)

Have you heard the latest weather forecast? Good grief!

I slipped and slid into work today, probably no more of that until Monday. Gotta make a post office and Walmart run sometime though....bleh.

Amanda, Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Staci, We are suppose to warm up a bit tomorrow and some more this weekend. As long as we do some melting around here, I will be happy.

Lou, this post inspired me. I went back and looked at several Summertime posts today to shake off the coldy-crud of February.

All I can say is that I look GOOD in a Speedo. Just sayin'...

Uh oh! Word verification: queuri

Sigh...

Yes, good to go home. Not good being stuck in the snow. Speaking from experience. :) Love the summer ideas.
