More Cousins

I'm sitting here in Flower Mound, TX as some little hospital waiting on Mom who is having some sort of injection in her back. Sounds simple - don't you think? Yesterday I picked Mom up and we headed to the DFW area. We decided to make a detour to Sam Moon's. We did have some difficulty finding it, but we got there and I got a new purse and some jewelry. Yeha! That Sam Moon's is quite a place. I felt like I did my part to support China and international trade.

We eventually made it on into Flower Mound and then on over to Plano to have dinner with my cousins. I love these cousins - they are a fun group. Because my uncle ( their dad) is only ten years older than I am, the cousins are younger and have young children. I feel more like an aunt to them rather than a cousin. I don't see these cousins very often - maybe with all the children life is just busy. But when we do see each other, it is always good. At one point last night one of the younger, 4 year old cousins got the water hose and doused the older cousins, brothers, and sisters. Parents went running to stop the melee. Pretty funny. My GGs would fit right in.

When we got back to the hotel, Mom discovered that she had left her glasses at the cousin's house. That means we will get to see them again today. I think we will have to swing by Central Market for lunch since we will be in that neighborhood. It's all good.

Ah, Plano. I used to HATE making my annual (best case) pilgrimage down to Mecca back in the day. The worst case was when I had to LIVE there for a week or two on some project that required me to be there full-time. But that was when I was livin' in Dee-troit and the summer heat in Plano just KILLED me. I wouldn't mind visiting so much these days.

It sounds like ya had a good time; I hope your Mom is OK.

Buck, My mom was good when I left her. She survived my driving in Dallas and wagging her all over the place after her little procedure.
