As I near my 8th year as a blogger, I find it more and more difficult to write - well, anything interesting, anyway. Yet, I can't seem to give it up either. So, I will continue to journal my life, such as it is.
On Friday I went to WF to meet with my cousin, Barbara, to discuss our upcoming trip to France. By the way, Jesse decided to go to Paris with us. She was holding out hoping to go to a ceramics convention, but her professor told her to go to Paris with her mother. She said she had been to Paris three times. He pointed out that she had not been with her mother. I think love that man! We are all very excited about our trip. My Marine cousin who lives in Paris is putting us up at his place, or putting up with us may be a better way of saying that. He is currently teaching at the War College. Seeing him and his little family will be great. So, back to the meeting in WF - we had lunch and discussed our plans. Then we moved to Mom's house and sat out on the patio with a glass of wine to soak up some of the beautiful day. Later we moved to my other cousin's house, drank more wine, and continued to discuss Paris. My other cousin was there recently taking advantage of the free room at the Marine cousin's apt. We also caught up on each others' lives and discussed all the other cousins not present. I do love all my cousins.
Saturday Toby, Jes, and I went to OKC to the Affair of the Heart, one big craft show, held at the fair grounds. Lindz and Kat had a booth their. It was a wet, overcast day with a cold wind - a good day to be inside at a craft show. It was fun to see Lindz and Kat and their stuff, but it was pact with people and thier crap. Lots of people watching was done. There are some interesting folk in OKC, and they all brought their kids in strollers or the shopping carts to push around in an already crowded area. It was dangerous.
Sunday was the usual church day. It has been about three weeks since my Grand Babies were there - due to different illnesses. The GGs were glad to be out and about. Mr. T. slept in my arms and was very cuddly. People kept coming up wanting to hold him - take him from me. I had to fight for my time with him. By the way, he is two months old now and weighing in at 12 lbs. I always tell him, "I'm your Booboo - your favorite grandma!"
Jesse spent Sunday night and went back to school this morning. I did my exercise class and tutored. Now it may be time for a nap.

I'm not much of a big city person. T really wanted to fly to Avignon, France last year and then drive to Sisteron, France which is NE through the mountains. Sisteron is a big-time glider base, where you can fly the thermals for hours. I've never been to Avignon, so I figured one day or two of tourist, and then hit the road. Then finish up in Nice for the trip home. I'm looking again for this year, as I'm being retired. Alas, have to sell the house first.
I wish you great enjoyment and great weather in Paris!
I'm looking forward to certain tourist things in Paris, but I like the little things too - back streets, little shops, architecture, etc. Jesse has had some grand adventures in France when my SIL was there teaching in Angers. Jesse really liked Nice. She took some beautiful photos there.
Angers sounds nice!
My parents were married in France, just after the war in 45. My dad told of wanting to go to Paris for the honeymoon, but my mother over-ruled him, and they went to Chamonix. Ha. For some reason she was bonkers for mountains and skiing.
I don't blame her. I'm a mountain girl myself.

Join the club. I've given thought to giving it up but like you I can't seem to quit. It's cheaper than drugs, anyhoo.
Jesse's prof is a wise man, indeed. And I'm a jealous man. I suppose I shouldn't be that way... I've had my times there. But it is what it is, nu?
I think you should join us, Buck. You can be our interpreter. My cousin has a two year-old daughter who has officially been labeled bilingual by her mother's-day-out program. I guess we will have to take her with us as the interpreter. Can't you just see us, "Evie, tell the nice lady we want two lattes."
My French is pretty much gone... but it comes back with a lot o' wine. Go ahead, ask me how I know. ;-)
