Yesterday, the principal came into my class to observe my teaching techniques. You know, those presentation skills - demonstrating with some cajoling, along with some slapstick thrown in for good measure. It all went fairly well, if you like the crazy old lady technique. Anyway, I was not worried about my teaching ability. Nor was I worried about the Prince's views of my teaching. After all, this is not exactly a career move for me. I have never been a fan of the dog-and- pony show specifically for the Prince. I just did my thang. And yet, on some mental level, I guess it was nerve racking. When all is said and done, I thought, " Gee, that went rather pitifully." Oh well.
I do have this one student that is such a great artist, she does not need me much. I just direct her a bit and she flies. Here are some of her works:
Most are watercolor, which is new to her, but she loves it.
This one is a pastel - her first!
This one is my zentangle.
