Painting of the Week

I have been having some problems posting on my computer. This morning, I am using Jesse's computer, and it is doing fine. Life has been very busy the last few days and will probably get busier. Getting ready for this trip and trying to leave the house/farm in reasonable shape is eating my lunch. Yesterday, I ran several errands in town, but did not make good use of my time. Several things did not turn out as I wanted them - oh well. Today, I am going back to town and try again. Last night we kept GBN1 which was a treat. She was wound up and talking. We sent her home dirty and tired. She loved swimming with Aunt Jes and the dogs (notice Ranger and Rita the cow dog). Today, I will pick her up and take her with me to run my errands giving her mother a little time to work on their new house. The house is just about ready for the big move-in this weekend. Our plan, right now, is to go to OKC with them on Saturday with the truck and horse trailer (moving van), help them load up their belongings, and send them home to unload while we stay in The City to fly out Sunday morning - early. Toby sent me the website of our hotel in Calgary. It does have internet access - so I will be blogging from up north. Right now, I need to be gettin' around.

I think I only have 5 people I work with that read my blog, two of them are up my chain of command. As far as family, just my sister is a regular reader, my dad stops by sometimes so I know where you're coming from. Most people out there aren't readers at all

This week's painting...from a photo? The roof tiles lead me to believe it's another Italian cottage, and the plants say "warm climate," which could be any number of places. Good stuff, as usual!

All that rain all y'all got sure has made your yard lush and green! And GBN1 is SUCH a cutie...

I'll be looking forward to your posts from Calgary.

Again another great painting. Don't you hate when your day doesn't go as plan. Great pictures of the wee one and auntie, oh and the dog...

Once again, another gorgeous picture. I'm loving the house and home theme you seem to be using lately.

Glad to hear that you can blog from Canada. I want to read all about it! Cody has been to Canada, but I never have.

Thanks again for the kind comments on the painting. I should have mentioned where the painting came from. It is a magazine picture from Better Homes and Garden - maybe CA or AZ - can't remember. I encourage my students to collect pictures out of magazines to paint from. So if you are ever in a doctor's office reading a magazine and part of it is torn out...I had nothing to do with it.

Sean, having you stop by my blog is a real thrill. It ranks right up there with Michael Fay who stopped by one time and commented on a painting of a soldier that I had done.

Shelly, if I ever get my house built, it will be the last move I make (famous last words).

Verifacation word: girmcomy!
