Cheap Rant

All morning I have been mulling over what to post today. Nothing comes to mind - nothing of significance anyway. But there is something that I have been meaning to rant about. Maybe today would be a good day to share it. I detest cheap toilet paper. It is not that it is rough, because it is. It is that is disintegrates upon use. Is that some sort of green thing. You know, where they make toilet paper that is biodegradable as not to clog our septic tanks and landfills - save the trees. Well I have news for you, it biodegrades before it gets to the septic tank or sewer. It is worthless and annoying. Anyone who buys this stuff and keeps the green people in business should be shot. If you are one of those people who buy the cheap stuff for your guest bathroom while saving the good stuff for yourself - a pox on you. Doesn't everyone deserve good toilet paper? Should anyone have to use the ruff stuff? 'Nuff said.

Good toilet paper is a must - quilted Northern is by far the best.

Oh, btw, you've been tagged.

Interesting subject for a rant, LOL! But...I hear ya! There are more things to hate on the subject... like when a company changes its formula for toilet paper. I've been using "Campa-Chem" in the RV for years and they just recently went to a single-ply construction. Without consulting me, the bastards! Now I need to find another, RV-friendly brand. (Coz black-water tanks aren't your usual sort of septic system...)

And...while I was in England I HATED using the "public facilities" if or when I absolutely had no choice. Especially in a park or other such gub'mint-run place. The toilet paper was like WAXED paper, I kid thee not. Aluminum foil would be more absorbent. And each individual sheet was stamped "Property of Her Majesty's Government." Each and EVERY one...which, of course, made me wonder...

Now that is funny, Buck! Single ply is like nothing. I'm with Kris - I like Northern. I wonder how many rolls I can pack with me on my trip to the UK.

Buck, that is too funny.

I remember the toilet paper in public restrooms in Italy. It was like brown paper towels. And you had to tip the attendant to get a single sheet of the stuff. Then you couldn't throw it into the toilet. There was a little waste can there for that purpose.

Lou, a lady from my church went over to Indonesia to become a missionary. One of the things she packed to take with her was toilet paper.

Yep I gotta have a quilted toilet paper. Do you know that the cheap stuff really isn't cheap after you use two rolls in one sitting...The cheap stuff is just not cost effective...but back to the septic system...there are actually problems with the cheap stuff in our system...so I buy Northern...but buying the cheap stuff for the guest bathroom when people you don't like come to your house..you know I kinda like that idea LOL...I had a visitor last weekend that wasn't my pick...cheap toilet paper would have been a nice touch (touch...LOL) I LOVE the idea...I'm gonna buy a package TODAY!!! LOL!!!!!

Anny, you are so mean - I love it. As long as it is not me that gets the ruff stuff.

No not you...I more thinking on the lines of the person that came to visit this last weekend (only for a couple of hours mind you) that outwardly favors one of her children over the other and does nothing for the unfavored child...don't get me started on taking care of your kids...even grown kids...you know single ply does have the chance of leaving poopoo on your hands but as far as I'm concerned some people already have s--t on there hands from the dirty selfish things that they do to their children (and other people they are around) so a little single ply from my house won't matter toooo much!!! Got mad this last weekend....I love taking care of my family and the kids my kids bring home with them...don't understand some parents....

Anny, I knew you did not mean me. You reminded me of a friend who said she had company that would not go home. So she took the dishes from the dinner table and set them in the floor for the dog to lick and then put them in the cabinet - she said her guests left very quickly then.

Oh, how i have wanted to poll the question on own blog...Wadder or Folder? and never really sure how folks would respond or take it! This has been a relief (pardon the pun)! To see my highly respected blogmom rant on the same subject matter!

TFNP, I'm a bit of both - wadder/folder. Kind of a roll and wad. Gosh that seems personal.
