The art ladies came to my house today to watercolor. I did not fret as much over house cleaning as I did the first time they came. I think they are beginning to know who I am – like it or lump it. I did do some house cleaning, and I made chicken salad supreme for lunch along with my easy cheesecake stuff and fresh fruit topping. All of that preparation took me away from blogging this morning, although, I did try to post. I had some photos of the GGs to post, but no matter how I tried to make them smaller and therefore uploadable, they just would not work. I got that same error message, and you know how I feel about that. So, I gave up and had lots of fun with my art ladies. I do have something new I want to try on my photo uploading, but I need Jesse to show me how to do it – it may be a while before I can pin her down.
While painting today, one of the ladies looked out and remarked how the clouds were interesting. Sure enough, they were unreal looking – odd textured – white and gray. Then it began to hail. Then the sun shown while it was hailing. Then it was over – all in about ten minutes. Okie weather!

Okie weather!
SPRING Okie weather! I have to admit the weather in OKC was THE most exciting weather I've ever experienced. And that wasn't always good, ya know. But the Spring skies were among the most dramatic I've ever seen... all those roiling clouds in surreal colors were just something else.
And... mmmm... Cheesecake! :D
Mmmm, I'd love to have that cheesecake recipe!
we had those strange clouds, too. The star=telegram website caught them with a good shot of downtown Fort Worth. Bob said they looked like upsidedown snow banks. I think they looked like torn lace with dryer lint
Buck, you are right about Okie weather not always being pleasant. I would say that weather here is never dull, but the summer heat is pretty monotomous.
Becky, because I am always dieting and I like a low carb diet, I make this easy cheesecake - it is one 2cup container of whipping cream - whipped with vanilla and Splenda to taste. Then I add two packages of softened cream cheese. You can eat it like a pudding, but I put it in a lg grahm cracker crust - like a cheesecake and chill it in the fridge. We top it with fresh fruit. You can skip the whipping of the cream and just get Cool Whip, but I like to whip my own cream and doctor it to my taste.
Joyce, I thought about James yesterday - wondering if he thought he had moved to a strange new world. Your description "torn lace with dryer lint" is very interesting.
Boy, I would like to come for your Art Ladies Day. The food sounds great and getting together for art is loads of fun.
Wierd weather here, too. Hail the size of golf balls in Austin about 40 miles away and we had only wind. Storms went all around us.
Thanks, Lou. I have made something like that in the past. We make one now with 1 pkg cream cheese, i can of sweetened condensed milk, and 1 tbsp lemon juice. It is delicious, but definitely not for dieters!
Jo, some day we will paint together.
