Stormy Weather

We had more storms last night and early this morning. The wind blew and the rain came down. The lightning and thunder were awesome. I might have slept through the whole thang, but my silly dog whined, tried to get in the closet, walked around the bed with tiny toenails clicking, etc. I may need a nap today. Maybe I will set my Pandora to Lena Horne and relax with Stormy Weather.
I painted two paintings yesterday with the Painted Ladies. The poppy and larkspur were flowers from Jean's yard. I don't particularly like the painting. The poppy stands out too much and needs more poppies around it (whine). I put away my poppy and did a quick little painting from a photo in a magazine.

I happen to really like the poppy picture! Don't change a thing.

I'm amazed that you did both of those in one day...

Finally got some rain last night in big Yukon too. Thank God - I thought I was going to have to start watering the lawn.

I like the poppy, too. Isn't there some sort of "rule of threes" in art? I'm too lazy to google it, but I think there is.

The lighthouse is quite good, too.

No rain here, but supposedly there's some on the way in the next day or two. I wish someone would shut off the damned wind machine, tho.

we had some crazy storms yesterday afternoon...I even got to drive home in it. (scary)
love the poppy painting...however I collect lighthouses, so that one especially caught my eye!
Thanks for once again sharing your gift with us!

Lack of rain has not been a problem this spring. The ponds are full. Thanks for the kind comments on the paintings. the lighthouse painting is small and I am fast.

The number rule is odd numbers only. Even is out - for whatever reason - eye pleasin' stuff.

I've been missing your sense of humor.

Airman Mom,
I can see why you collect lighthouses. I like painting them too.

Thanks Becky, I probably won't change it. I probably will just put it away.

Awwww, I love red and blue. I like the poppy as is. Nice job on the lighthouse, too. Glad you are OK and the storms haven't been so bad in your part of the world. We had rain which we need, but glad it was just rain.
