Birthday Chicks

Today is GBN2's 7th Birthday. Here she is with her best friend - notice they have matching missing teeth. By the way, this is the Piper's daughter, The Prosecutor.

We had a birthday treasure hunt/party for her yesterday. It started with a puzzle telling her she needed to go to to the library. At the library her Aunt Jes was waiting with another clue. This one sent her to her Uncle Travis' house. Eventually she went by her other grandmother's house and ended up at my house. While she was here, Jesse had her another clue to figure out. It said something like: what is yellow, has feathers, but doesn't swim. Then Aunt Jes had cut out paper chicken feet and put them on the floor leading to the baby chicks. GBN1 had wanted a real live duck for her birthday, but the feed store was out of ducks. All we could get were chicks. GBN1 didn't seem to mind. After the big treasure hunt, we went out to eat. All the people on her treasure hunt met us at the restaurant. It was a fun birthday. Aunt Jes and GBN2 wore scarves which kept them entertained as well as everyone else. I think Jes may have posted a pic of GBN2 wearing a silly hat while she was here yesterday. You should take a look.
