Sisters

My baby sister came up for a visit yesterday. We have laughed and giggled all afternoon. This is why I wanted a baby sister!

My friends all told me, "You don't want a little sister! They are pests!" But I didn't let that deter me. I wanted someone to share my clothes with as well as my secrets. The clothes thang didn't work out very well, but the secret sharing is nice. I wanted a sister to stand with me against the world (or my brothers). I wanted someone that we could just look at each other and know what the other was thinking.

Everyone should have a baby sister.

Your friends were RIGHT. My sister is six years younger than me... do the math. ;-)

Buck,
I have a big brother and I'm sure he still thinks of me as a pest from time to time. It is just the way brothers are programed to think.

Deb,
I have two brothers. I'll loan you one.

I was the little sister! Funny, just a couple of months ago, I dreamed that my brother was throwing paper air planes and I stepped on one (accidentally) and tore it. He said, "You're always messing things up!"

Lou...if you're going to loan a brother to Deb, make it Craig. Might make her think twice about brothers...heh-heh.

I'm the baby sister pest. My sis is 7 years older. We were together yesterday. We are a bit closer now that we are senior citizens. Heh.

I'm jealous. Being an only child, I had to wait until I was grown up to have sisters -- I married into them. But, I've always had friends that I considered the next best thing to a real sister. And brother. Glad you had a wonderful visit!

Becky,
That's the way it works.

John,
I was thinking I would loan Pete.

Jo,
I have to admit there were times when she was younger and I was a teen-ager that she was a bit pesty, but I was always glad I had a sister and that waited patiently for her to grow up.

Moogie,
I do have friends whom I consider sisters. I also had a cousin who was my best friend and sister.

Two mighty fun and sweet sisters! I feel pretty darn lucky to be one of the sisters (in laws) too! Lou, glad you decided not to loan out Craig - I'd sure miss him! :O)

Catherine,
The best part about having brothers is the sister-in-laws that come with them.

Catherine, I have to agree with Lou - the best part about having brothers is the sister-in-laws who come with them. As the only girl with two brothers and the middle child, growing up was extremely painful and I have the scars to prove it!
