Blonde Upholsterer

Upholstery class is over. We are celebrating at the Diva's pool this afternoon. Join us if you are brave and happy. I did not get the fringe put around the bottom of my chair, but that is not hard to do. I can do that here. I took these two photos this morning to show you the chair. Notice the buttons on the back. The original chair had 21 buttons down the seat too, but I opted not to do those. The nine on the back were enough. Making buttons was fun; sewing them onto the chair was nerve racking. It required a foot long needle, and poking it into my chair and through the back. With my material, I could easily have screwed up the material by poking the button through in the wrong place causing a big hole. I was very careful, but it took me too long to do. I barely got my chair done. Putting on the back piece, the last piece, was crazy hard. Once again, it required me to poke holes in my material with a long metal strip. The teacher was actually quite helpful. She's a very nice lady, but dang, she made class difficult for the most part. Then on the last night when we were supposd to fill out a critique, she was especially helpful. I was not deterred. Oh well, it is a done deal.

Another thang happened yesterday, but you will get no pictures. I got my hair trimmed. While I was at the beauty shop, I decided to have the stylist put color on my hair, too. This lady gives a good $11 haircut, so I thought she would do a good color job, and I was willing to pay for someone to do it rather than beg Jesse to do it for me. Dang, dang, dang! Why do I do that? Bells went off when she asked another stylist about the color. More bells sounded when she said she was going to use a 40 volume peroxide, but I did not heed the warnings in my head. Hells Bells! My hair is BLONDE! Then she charged me $65. That is more than the fancy beauty shops charge. And I feel about as stupid as a blonde. Maybe it is appropriate.

Hey... I've heard that blondes have more fun and I can certainly vouch for that assumption in at least two cases. So... be POSITIVE! ;-)

Ya done good on the chair. It looks custom-made for bon-bon consumption.

Buck,
Could you fan me and feed me grapes too?

That depends, mostly on what the dress code would be. I don't look too good in a loin-cloth, but I AM presentable in Greek robes. And then there are my rates: I've never been cheap. Easy, yes. Cheap, no. ;-)

Nothing wrong with blonde from my point of view :>) --but I guess it's no fun if you didn't want it. Your chair looks amazing--hope you are feeling properly proud of yourself!

Mary,
I don't really mind the blonde; it just was not what I was expecting. But the blonde hair looks good in the new chair as I eat bonbons.
