The Good Life

Last night I left Toby home alone to watch football, and I went to my friend's house to play games with some other ladies.  We played a round of Cranium.  With Janice as my partner, we kicked butt.  We also did a lot of laughing and teasing.  Why anyone would let Janice and I be on the same team, well, it was just not smart for the others.  After wickedly winning, we solved the world's problems.  What a great evening!

Toby was in bed asleep when I got home - as was the little dog, Ranger, sleeping in my spot.  Twenty-five pounds of Rat Terrier was almost impossible to move.  At first, I thought it was Toby on the covers - not letting me in the bed, and it made me mad. With the cold temps, it was important to get under the covers.  With the "Cannonball, it was difficult. But it could have been worse. It could have been this.  This is Maximus' favorite spot.

It was cold here, too. I miss my pups when it's cold at night... EVERY night used to be a "three-dog night," back in the day.

Yesterday I tried taking a nap on the couch in the sunshine similar to Max in this photo. Unfortunately, Max joined me. It was cozy at first. Then it just got crowded and I move on.

Max does look comfortable. I can't even have the cat in my bed with me. She always wants to lay right where I want to put my feet. Jesse will get on the bed, but he knows to get out when I'm ready to get in. I don't even have to tell him any more.

If it were just me, I would sleep with all my animals. I think.
