Petite Poppy

There was a little change of plans on Monday.  I ended up with the GGs all day. Because it rained all day Monday, we stayed in the house. I was prepared with a new movie, and new markers and color book for the GGs.  It was a pretty good day, but it wore me out. Both GBN2 and I were a bit fussy by the end of the day.

Tuesday was all about me. I texted my art girls to come paint with me.  Two girls showed up, and we painted these little 6"x6" acrylic poppies. The girls had been painting on other stuff, but I wanted them to loosen up and have fun. Sometimes painting something fast and fun gives you a real rush. The small canvas was good for getting done in one setting, although painting large is really better for painting loose - you can sling paint till your heart is content. When you complete a painting and you like it, you feel good about your art and yourself. Loose Lou strikes again, and you can't go wrong with poppies.

Very nice! I'd feel good about me if I could create sumthin' like this, too.

Come paint with me. Maybe we could have happy hour and painting - it would loosen us up for the painting.

Lou, I think I would like to join in on the happy hour and painting! Sounds great. The poppies are beautiful. Your students are so lucky to have you for a teacher.

Sounds great! Did you get your info, supply list, etc., yesterday? I was just about to call them, so I would have stuff ready when we leave the first week in August. Then it came. Whew.

Heh. I could prolly sling paint with the best o' all y'all... but I'd get more paint on ME than I would the canvas.

Just sayin'.
