Busy Again

Sometimes when things get really busy, I realize that I only thought I was busy before. NOW, I am busy. It is the same with my weight. I used to think I was fat, but NOW I'm fat :) Why did I worry so much about it before? I think the key to all of this is to just not fret over any of it.

Friday is my last day as a tutor. The Tutoree and I are thrilled. We will miss our time together, but the freedom is intoxicating. On Sunday I am having a little graduation party for the Tutoree. She is pretty excited about it. I have lots to do to get ready - clean house is the main thing. Today I am going to WF to buy groceries, check on the Mom's, run some errands, and get the pig. It's at this point that I tell myself all the things I am going to do when I am finished...When I finish tutoring, I am going to do more art, I'm going to have lunch with my friends, I'm going to teach other art classes...etc. We will see if all that pans out.

The pig - Jesse has a friend in her ceramics class that is a game warden. Since Jesse has been doing all sorts of wild animals in her art, her friend brought her a feral piglet. Last Friday, Jes called her daddy and asked what she should do with the pig. Dad knows all. So she and a visiting artist bought a hog panel and bent it into a circle of sorts as a pig-pen.
Then they put the pig in Grandma's back yard. The pig escaped and is running with the dogs now. I need to bring it home before it escapes and is running around the neighborhood.

Then on Friday, Jesse has a student art show. Of course we are going - even if we have to make another trip to WF.

Last weekend, we got another event out of the way; we went to my cousin's wedding in Dallas. It was a big shindig and lots of fun. The reception was held at the Kessler Theater with lots of dancing. With an open bar, there was lots of drinking too. It was a great party. It was also great to see more of my cousins (no leg wrestling this time). My cousins are a fun time. This photo was taken by the wedding photographer, James Edward as the couple was leaving the Kessler.
So I tell myself when I get this weekend done, I am going to concentrate on my Peru trip. I need to get this body in shape to climb to Machu Picchu. And build a fence, and ...

You better slow down! You sound way too busy. Cute pig. Makes me hungry, too. Evil grin!

I think things will settle down now that I got the party done. Next party will be a luau - come eat that pig.
