Incentive

If you are what you eat, I am a tart. I bet you thought I was going to say "fast, easy, and cheap," which may be true too. Today I made a strawberry tart dessert - on shortbread - from the April Southern Living Magazine. It turned out great, if I do say so myself. Last week I made a quiche; this week I made a tart. Who knows what I may make next? I told Toby there would be more cooking when my new kitchen is finished - just a little incentive - ya know! I also told him that I want a little TV in my kitchen so I could watch the cooking channel. Actually I only want a TV in the kitchen because the Junk Diva has one, and I want to be like her.

Hmm, I think saucy more than tart.

OK... best opening line, evah.

That said, I've known (more than) a few tarts and you, Mrs. Baggett, are no tart. (With apologies to Lloyd Bentsen, of course.) ;-)

Jo,
Glad to make you laugh.

Laurie,
Maybe hot sauce...

Buck,
"Evah?" Are you sure?

I don't get the reference to Lloyd.

The reference comes from the 1988 vice-presidential debate when Lloyd told told Dan Quayle "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy!" Sorry I was so obscure!

Buck, I remember the line now. I just wasn't following your thought process. FWIW, I had Lloyd's grand-daughter in vacation Bible School and met his daughter back in my McAllen days. The grand-daughter was five then.
