The Cold Is Coming

Jesse and Lindz are headed to OK City for the historical inauguration of Oklahoma’s first woman governor. Another historical first will be the temperature, which will be in the 30’s with a chance of snow flurries. Still, knowing Jes and Lindz, they will make it an adventure.

I have a confession to make. I did not vote for Mary Fallin, but voted instead for Jari Askins. I like Jari and being a Duncan girl, I think she would have done lots for our area. Jari is just pro-OK and works well across party lines. Oh well, that is water under the bridge. Truthfully, I don’t know Mary Fallin very well, but I wish her the best as governor. With all the craziness in Tucson (and the world), a person in politics needs a strong heart.

Me, I’m headed to Wal-Mart today. Yeha! Someone has to do it, said the Little Red Hen. With the cold weather setting in, I want to be well stocked in groceries and supplies.

Just for kicks I went back to my posts from last year at this time. It seems I was getting ready for the cold last year too.

Me too. But I shoulda gone yesterday when the temps were in the 50s. I didn't, mainly coz Wally-World on Sundays is a freakin' ZOO here in P-Ville. Dunno why... but I'm sure Sarah Palin has something to do with it.

The cold is here. It's 28 degrees as I type and our low is supposed to be 7 tonight. Aiiieee.

All those people at Wal-Mart...well, it could be Sarah Palin or it could be them hippies smokin' marijuana.

You have a point about dope-smokin' hippies, Lou. I have it on the BEST authority that some of those types can get lost in a two-aisle convenience store. Don't ask me how I know. ;-)
